All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
- Muslim women in Western countries at Masjids, homes, schools, work-places, etc., play significant roles to raise awareness about Muslim values.
- Also Muslim women may do awareness campaigns to introduce Islamic morals and values to their friends, neighbors, co-workers,
- Sisters’ halaqas may study the seerah of Prophet Muhammad and the mothers of the believers and the female companions.
- Moreover, they may hold programs at homes for the family members to implant love of the Prophet in the hearts of the children.
Answering your question, Dr. Wael Shehab, PhD in Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University and currently the Imam of the Downtown Toronto Masjid in Canada, states:
Respected sisters contribute greatly to the development of the Muslim communities. They should always engage and play leading roles within our Masjids and Islamic centers. This was the case at the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) and his Companions.
Muslim women in Western countries at Masjids, homes, schools, work-places, etc., play significant roles to raise awareness about Muslim values. This can happen by translating Islamic noble manners into practice.
On Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, Muslim women may do awareness campaigns to introduce Islamic morals and values to their friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc.
In addition, sisters’ halaqas may study the seerah of Prophet Muhammad, the mothers of the believers and the female companions.
Moreover, they may hold programs for the family members to implant love of the Prophet in the hearts of the children.
