Female entrepreneurship continues to grow. According to one study, women now control about 36 percent of global small businesses, growing 4.2 percent in the last 12 years.
The rise includes Muslim women carving niches in the range of Muslim-centered products making up the halal industry.
In tackling some unique challenges entrepreneurship presents to Muslim women, business strategist, Halimah DeOliveira and international speaker Amber Von Grat organized the Boss Hijabis in Business Conference.
The three-day digital conference will teach Muslim women ways to start their own business.
DeOliveira and Von Grat joined Layla Abdullah-Poulos to talk about the Boss Hijabi movement and Muslim women blazing trails in sole proprietorship.
