The event, held on September 17, successfully raised £700,000 to help those affected by the floods.

Unusual heavy monsoon rains have caused devastating floods in both the north and south of Pakistan since mid-June, affecting at least 33 million people.

The country’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said at least 1,033 people have been killed, including 348 children, and 1,527 more injured.

Huge Efforts

Over the past weeks, Islamic Relief has been working to rebuild villages, install new water and sanitation facilities, and support communities to rebuild small businesses and housing.
