More Than 300 Bikes Given Away at Bradford Mosque

Putting big smile on young people’s faces, a local mosque in Bradford has hosted an event in which more than 300 bikes and scooters were gifted to people in Bradford as part of a community scheme.

Masjid-at-Taqwa gave away more than 300 scooters and bikes to people in the community, with the support of OnTrak, Telegraph & Argus reported.

Officers from the Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) engaged with the Great Horton community.

“This morning Officers from Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team engaged with the local community in Great Horton where the Masjid-at-Taqwa mosque hosted a bike giveaway,” the Bradford South NPT posted on Facebook.

“Without the support of OnTrak, Bradford this would not have been possible. Over 300 bikes and scooters were given away to the local community for free.

“A lot of smiley faces were seen riding away into the fog.”

Bradford has a huge Muslim community. According to 2021 census, 30.5 per cent described themselves as Muslim (up from 24.7 per cent in 2011).
