Use Mobility and Stability Exercises to Lose Fat (video)

In this video, trainer Timea shows you some moves to mobilize your shoulders and the thoracic spine (the part of your spine that runs from the base of the neck down to the abdomen).

You will also stabilize and strengthen your core and your anterior muscle chain completely.

You need mobility and stability to lose fat. In fact, regardless of the reason you work out – be it building muscles, improving your performance, or boosting your self-confidence  – you need mobility/stability exercises in your weekly routine. Why?

Mobility is the ability of your joints to move through their full range of motion without pain and stiffness.

Stability stands for the ability to control your body position from head to toe through movement.

Without Mobility and Stability, you:

Risk getting injured

I’m not only talking about bone breaks and torn muscles. You could be moving a certain way for a long time and see no problems. At some point though, those compensations due to lack of mobility or stability WILL catch up to you. If you get injured, how will you reach your goals?

Refuse the opportunity to burn more calories

Imagine, for example; if you are mobile, you can do a full squat – which burns much calories than just a quarter squat.
