I’m Afraid to Lose My Faith Again

14 July, 2024
Q Assaalamu alikum. First of all, thanks for your services for the Muslim ummah. I have some problem if you help me I will be very happy. I was born in a religious family, but two years ago I went through some believe problems and I became an agnostic. Alhamdulillah after some research and reading books, again I came to Islam alhamdulillah. I left most of my bad habits like listening to music and I now love reading especially about Islam. I even studied one semester at the Islamic Online University but because my university in India has started and studied engineering is a little tough, I said to myself I will continue it after obtaining my engineering degree. But now I face some problems. I had a bad habit, it was a major sin which I could not leave. I think this affects me now because I am afraid to study books or writings not related to Islam. I am afraid maybe I will lose my faith. I do not have any doubt for this religion, even 0.0001%, but these thoughts are coming to my mind. I do not know what I should do. I also want to become a Muslim lecturer after my engineering degree, but I feel I lost some of my interests in this. Can you help me, please? Because of these thoughts, I cannot concentrate on my studies and the exams are at the corner. Thank you.

Allah (swt) has placed many responsibilities on us humans, and this exactly why Allah (swt) is ever so close to us.

Allah (swt) says in the Quran that Allah (swt) is closer to us than our very own veins…
