When we deal with the fighting verses in the Quran it's important to keep in mind the various contexts of these verses. Instead of discussing the various contexts of these verses in detail at this point of this series, I would like to highlight one very important context that covers all the fighting verses: the spirit of the law.
Anyone who believes in one of the prophets and disbelieves in another has disbelieved in them all and in Allah Who sent each and made them affirm one another.

Muslims should be committed to truth in information. They should promote truthful and honest reporting about everyone, including their enemies. A report coming from a Muslim source should be the most trustworthy report.
Islam and Muslims have a lot to offer. Muslims should support oppressed people with all possible means. At times of crisis, Muslims should leave out differences of faiths and make a contribution for positive change for a better future for all of society.
Islam with its universal concept of this brotherhood rejects all artificial and man-made marks of distinction. No one can claim any superiority over the other based on race, color, language or wealth.
In fact the Quran depicts the various prophets in history not as competing or fighting with one another, unfortunately as some of their followers are doing, but in fact as one brotherhood of prophets, various links in the same chain of revelation extending from the first to the final prophet.
Many Americans believe this line of thinking, that somehow Muslims hate America as a part of faith. But millions of Americans are Muslim who love their country and are happy to be called American. And have zero religious qualms about it.
Muslims have always believed that when the animals and the birds roar and shout and chirp and twitter, they are indeed praising God in their own way.
If we do that bad thing, the angel records it as a one bad deed. On the other hand, the angel who records the good deeds is ordered to write down our intention to do a good deed. If we actually do that good deed, the angel records it as ten up to seven hundred good deeds.
