Ka`bah’s Kiswa Folded Up for Hajj Season

Saudi officials raised Ka`bah kiswa (specially decorated garment), on Wednesday, May 14, as a precautionary measure to prevent people from damaging it during the pilgrimage season.

The Kiswa was lifted three meters off the ground and replaced with a white cloth, only for the Hajj season, to prevent damage, Saudi Press Agency reported.

Specialised teams carried out the raising process according to precise procedures that respected the sanctity of the place and upheld the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
