Meet Canadian Muslim Winners in 2021 Federal Election

Many Canadian Muslims have emerged victorious in the country’s 2021 general elections despite rising anti-Muslim climate of hate.

At least 12 Muslim candidates, including two women, won this week’s election that comes amid the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Though the Liberals won the race, they are projected to win 158 seats, short of the 170 seats needed for the majority Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sought for with his early election call.
