This year’s theme for the summit, which will be held in Chicago’s McCormick Congress Center, is “American Muslims: Shaping the Future Through Faith and Vision.”

The event is expected to draw thousands of Muslims from across the United States and Canada to McCormick Place in Chicago, known as the nation’s largest convention center.

The number has increased from only 500 attendants who appeared at the first convention that followed 9/11 twin tower attacks.
