Liverpool University Launches Mo Salah Scholarship

LIVERPOOL – The University of Liverpool has endowed a scholarship in the name of Muslim player Mohamed Salah, culminating a successful season with the English football fans.

“The University of Liverpool, Wales, England is delighted to offer Mohamed Salah (2017 African footballer of the year) Scholarship for African students who are planning to commence their undergraduate and postgraduate taught program from November 2018,” Cheap Scholars website revealed.

The new scholarship offers full-tuition fee, accommodation, academic development funding – from $500 to $2,000, dependent on the length of course, along with other benefits.

Salah is arguably one of the biggest Muslim sports stars in the world at present.

Hailing from a Muslim-majority country, Salah is a devout Muslim who often prostrates to God on the field after scoring goals – a trend in sports that Egyptian players have started since 2006 during the African Cup of Nations in Egypt- hence nicknamed the ‘Prostrating Pharaohs’.
