She doesn't believe she have anything wrong; she doesn't want to go to doctor or talking therapy. I am so panicking myself cause sometimes she is so rational so everyone believes her but this is affecting my kids too and I don't know what should I do?
Answer
When we are facing difficulties, we have to put our ultimate faith in Allah and trust that he will bring ease and guide us towards the better.
At the same time, “we tie our camel“: we need to take the necessary steps to ensure solutions.
In this case, your mother has strong faith, but she needs to take those steps in order to heal from the trauma of the tragic loss of her husband.
If she is severely depressed but refuses therapy, she might harm her loved ones too.
Offer your company and go together to counseling while reassuring her about her strength in faith.
How can you prevent her grandchildren from developing fears and understanding her behavior?
