Answer

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
1- Many Muslims think that what the Prophet (peace be upon him) wore at his time is a Sunnah for us.
2- The Prophet (PBUH) did not dress the way he did because of Islam. Everyone at the time of the Prophet (PBUH) dressed the same way.
3- As long as the awrah (private part) is covered and it is within the limits of Islam, it is preferable, and it is sunnah, to dress like the people as much as possible.
4- Do not think that if you wear bizarre clothes in the West, you will be rewarded for that.
