My Appearance Is Taking a Toll on My Mental Health

15 July, 2024
Q I am a tall girl and my shoulders are broad which makes me look fat although I am not that much fat and this is genetic my aunts are also like this. And I look way older than my age. People make fun of me they hurt me again and again. This is taking a toll on my mental health. Sometimes I think why Allah has made me like this. Could you please guide me what to do in this matter?

Answer

Allah does not make mistakes in his creation, so you are perfect as you are.

We were created to be diverse. We all have different body shapes, forms, colors, etc.

Just stand up straight and be happy about who you are.

If you feel too insecure about yourself, some people unfortunately take advantage of this perceived weakness and make fun of you.

So be proud of your look, spread this vibe when you are with others, and project confidence.
