Answer
Salam (Peace) Dear Tania,
Thank you for your question and for contacting Ask About Islam.
The Quran does not speak of this specific Christian or that. But, the Quran is very clear about the Islamic creed, stating that monotheism is the belief in the One and Only God, Creator, Sustainer: Allah.
It is only Allah Who is divine. It is Allah who has created everything that exists, including the human nature. Accordingly; humanity and divinity do not mix. They don’t mingle.
Can an engineer make a refrigerator or a computer and then become part of this, or that becomes part of him? No matter how good or highly advanced this or that machine are, they are still the “making of the engineer”, never like him or part of him.
Accordingly, Jesus is one of God’s greatest “created” human being. He is a highly loved and respected prophet and messenger. But, he is not divine. He is only human.
Therefore, any other belief, related to the nature of Jesus, is a “disbelief” according to Islamic beliefs.
Maybe you can read more in the Quran and see for yourself what it says exactly about Jesus and his highly respected mother: Lady Mary.
Try to read chapters 3 and 19 of the Quran. They will help you understand the Islamic perspective of Jesus; a great Prophet and a noble human Messenger of God.
I hope this helps answer your question.
Salam and please keep in touch.
