Described as the deadliest attack in Egypt’s modern history, militants killed at least 235 people at Al-Rawdah Mosque in North Sinai and injuring at least 130 others.
Ambulances were shot at as they tried to save victims. Numbers are still rising.
The brutal killings triggered reactions from Scholars and Imams who expressed their sorrow and condemnation. They offered prayers for the victims and their families on the attack.
Egypt is the only spot other than my birthplace that is really home to me. Even more than here sometimes. I love its people, history, culture, food, and its life. And I hurt for it.
