17 South Koreans Accept Islam at Seoul Central Mosque in Ramadan

17 South Koreans accepted Islam on the first day of Ramadan, which began on Saturday, March 1.

The conversions took place at Seoul Central Mosque, where men and women recited verses from the Quran before pronouncing the Shahadah (Islamic declaration of faith), led by a preacher.

The Korea Muslim Federation (KMF) shared a video of the moment on Facebook. Their conversion follows the successful completion of the Islamic basic education program offered in February, which introduced them to the core beliefs and practices of the faith, Siasat.com reported.
