Over 10 Million Worshipers Visit Al-Rawda Al-Sharifa in 2024

More than 10 million worshipers have performed prayers at Al-Rawda Al-Sharifa in the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina so far in 2024, according to recent figures from the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque.

The statistics reveal that a total of 5,583,885 men and 4,726,247 women have visited the sacred area, underscoring the site’s significance to Muslims worldwide Saudi Press Agency reported.

The report also highlights the smooth management of the large number of visitors, with an average waiting time of just 20 minutes before gaining entry to Al-Rawda Al-Sharifa.

On peak days, the number of worshipers can reach up to 48,000. These figures reflect the ongoing efforts to accommodate the needs of the faithful, ensuring a peaceful and accessible experience for all.

To further enhance the experience, awareness programs have been offered in 11 different languages, providing guidance on worship and proper conduct within the mosque.

These multilingual initiatives aim to cater to the diverse backgrounds of visitors, helping them navigate the spiritual journey while respecting local customs and traditions.

Al-Rawda Al-Sharifa, located between the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) tomb and his pulpit, holds a special status among Muslims as one of the holiest sites in Islam.

The increase in the number of worshipers this year demonstrates the site’s enduring spiritual appeal and the ongoing dedication to accommodating Muslim pilgrims from around the world.
