Saudi Arabia pulled off a miracle 2-1 win over Argentina today, in a stunning result that immediately became the biggest win in Saudi Arabia’s history.
Argentina, one of the tournament’s favorites, travelled to Qatar on the back of 35 games without defeat for two years, CNN reported.
Argentina captain Lionel Messi scored an early penalty to put his side in the lead. Yet, two second-half goals from Saleh Al-Shehri and Salem Al Dawsari turned the game on its head.
