Liverpool’s Muslim star Mohamed Salah has been named the Mirror Fans’ Footballer of the Year award for 2020, adding to his list of awards and trophies.
According to the paper, Salah beat six fellow Premier League stars to clinch the inaugural Fans’ Footballer of the Year prize after leading Liverpool to the title last season with 19 goals and 10 assists.
Salah is also havinf a successful new football season at the moment, having scored so far 13 goals in as many top-flight games, including a remarkable two goals against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Salah is followed by Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford who has been recognized for his humanitarian work outside the pitch.
Kevin de Bruyne of Manchester City came in fourth, followed by PFA Player of the Year Jordan Henderson and then Sadio Mane and Virgil Van Dijk came in sixth and seventh respectively.
Egyptian winger and forward Mohamed Salah is one of the best players in the world. Salah’s record-breaking exploits for Liverpool have earned him millions of adoring fans.
In May 2019, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane won the 2019 Premier League Golden Boot with 22 goals apiece.
Salah also won the Professional Footballers’ Association player of the year award in April 2018.
