Asalamu Alaikum,

Thank you for contacting About Islam with your question.

Dr. Shabir Ally addresses this question in the video below:

Transcript:

Safiyyah  Ally: OK Dr. Shabir Ally, here’s a question: does the Quran mention anything about UFOs? Can UFOs or jinns abduct a person?

Dr. Shabir Ally: Well, the Quran does say that in fact God has created many life forms. Forms that we have no idea about. And the Quran says in the 74th chapter {Quoting Quran in Arabic} only God knows the full extent of his armies, which would include all of His creation.

Can UFOs abduct us? It doesn’t seem so scientifically possible because the life forms that we know similar to ours do not exist anywhere else in our solar system. And the systems are so far apart that if such life, intelligent life exists in other galaxies, for example, it would take such vast amounts of time for them to reach here.

And this seems rather impossible to imagine. And in any case, if other intelligent beings were here on earth, we would have noticed something like that.

I hope this helps answer your question. Please keep in touch.

Walaikum Asalam.
