The first verses* of surat al-Mujadilah (She Who Argues) address a marital problem and provide its solution.

This legislation was initiated by the case of a woman, named Khawlah bint Tha`labah, who came to raise her complaint before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

Allah, the Most High, heard her complaint and relieved her griefs.
