Spread over 12 million square meters, the mixed-use development aims to ease access to the Grand Mosque and elevate the spiritual and practical experience for millions of pilgrims visiting every year.
The project will include an extensive transportation network to ensure smooth movement between the new spaces and the Grand Mosque.

The project, which will also include residential, hospitality, commercial, and cultural facilities, is envisioned as a fully integrated urban destination. Its design reflects both the city’s sacred purpose and its growing global significance, blending spirituality with modern infrastructure.
In addition to expanding prayer areas, King Salman Gate will contribute to preserving Makkah’s identity by restoring and developing about 19,000 square meters of heritage sites.
This effort will protect the city’s historical and cultural legacy even as its skyline continues to evolve.
