Seeking to create a more inclusive and empathetic Muslim community, Deen Support Services has announced its annual Khutbh campaign on disability on December 1.
The Khutbah Campaign on Disability is an annual initiative that takes place every December. It aims to inspire masjids across the country to dedicate their Friday Khutbahs to the topic of Disability and Islam.
The campaign across different mosques nationwide comes as world marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3.

“This year, we’re harnessing the collective power of Imams and Khateebs to spread a message of inclusion that resonates within the soul of every believer,” Deen wrote on MuslimLink.

This is the 14th year of the world wide khutbah campaign on Disability. Masjids from all over of the world usually join to educate Muslims about disability and how Islam sees it.
Allah orders us to never look down, label, or ridicule others – such as people with disabilities.
Allah says, “perhaps they may be better than them”. (49:11)
According to Islam, integrating disabled people into the society is crucial in regards to their emotional and mental well-being.
