A well-known Muslim business founder, entrepreneur, educator, board member and engaged volunteer has been appointed to the Order of Nova Scotia for enriching the province in unique ways.

Saeed El-Darahali received the highest honor in the Province of Nova Scotia earlier this month. The honor usually recognizes those who have distinguished themselves in many fields of endeavor and have made lasting contributions.

“I am beyond humbled by this recognition. I am a proud Nova Scotian, and I will continue to do my part to ensure this beautiful province gets the recognition and support it deserves on the federal and international stage,” El-Darahali wrote on Twitter.
