Do you think that the rules of Islam are there to make your life difficult? Allah sent us down the verses from Surah Taha saying: “We have not sent this Quran down in order for it to be a means of distress against you…” 

These rules and regulations are there to protect you, to give you the feeling of appreciation not only within you but others will appreciate you too. This is why we shouldn’t be showing off our wealth to others. We should enjoy ourselves, yes. We should spend time with our loved ones. We should build our relationship with Allah and our Messenger (PBUH). 

Make an effort to dress in a way that you will be recognized as a Muslim. Make an effort to speak in a way that you will be recognized as a Muslim. We should take care with our language and take care with what we are doing on Social Media. We should leave behind a legacy that we will be proud of not something that will embarrass us.
