Mujahid has been a Muslim since he was 18 years old. He was raised as a Southern Baptist and he attended church. He started to learn about Islam and the different empires like Ottoman Empire and was shocked such a religion existed. He saw Malcolm X’s biography and bought it. He then read as much as he could about Islam and accepted it. His family were against him and it is only recently they have called a “truce”.
