Jinns fall into the same category as angels in that they are creatures of the Unseen. We can’t see them but they are similar to humans in that they have free will.
They cannot physically harm us and we shouldn’t become fixated with worries that they can possess us. In fact, the fear of jinn can have a negative mental influence.
Our bigger concern should be Shaytan and protecting ourselves from this greater enemy. Protection will come by striving to stay close to Allah.
