Asking Allah’s Help in Times of Hardship

Musa (as) is one of the most mentioned messengers of Allah (swt) in the Quran. Allah (swt) talks about him more than any other Prophet by name.

There are many duas of Musa (as) recorded in the Quran. This dua is located in Surah At Taha. Musa (As) sees a fire so he tells his family he has to go and see what it is. He gets up to the top of the mountain and he discovers that it is Allah who has called him there. Allah (swt) tells him to throw his stick and it becomes a stick. Allah (swt) tells Musa (as) to grab the snake and to not be afraid. Any one of us would be afraid to grab a poisonous snake! Musa (as) doesn’t say “I cannot do it” he just goes ahead and grabs the snake.

Allah gave Musa (as) many tasks to complete but when He asked Musa (As) to go to Fir’oun, at that point Musa (As) made dua. We make dua when times get hard, when tasks are hard, when we are afraid.
