Christmas time is coming, and for many converts in the West, this is a time filled with nostalgic feelings but also questions and confusion.
Whether you are coming from a practicing Christian family or not, Christmas most likely means a holiday where you are surrounded by your loved ones and share moments of happiness and joy.
It is difficult not to remember the foods, the sweets, the lights, and the smell of the winter holidays.
Can I celebrate Christmas if I am a Muslim now?
Should I reject family gatherings and spend the holidays alone? What about the gifts?
Can I join my colleagues at the end-of-year party at my workplace? Even so, what if they still do not know that I practice Islam?
These are some of the questions we will try to answer in this live session with our guest, Sister Nahela Morales.
Nahela Morales is the co-founder of Embrace, an ICNA project dedicated to servicing, nourishing, caring for, and empowering revert communities in America. Join her in this live session and find the answers you are looking for.
May this time of the year be a source of taqwa and loving, meaningful interfaith relationships!
