Yes, of course that is the way it should be. I cannot imagine a relationship based on orders from husband but would rather hope to see it as an understanding based on love and respect and all that happens in proper communication.

Love means sacrifices. If you love him and you feel this matter is sensitive for him you will find a place in your heart to stay home taking care of family and kids. Maybe later in time he might change his mind and have no issues for you to work.
