Wa `alaykum as-salamu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

 

You should avoid the social media that publish obscene or unlawful content altogether – if possible. If, however, you are able to isolate the purely halal part and screen out the obscene content, then are allowed to visit it.

 

In case of doubt, it is best to leave it altogether. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Keep away from the dubious and doubtful for by doing so one is apt to guard against things that are clearly haram; however, if one were to indulge in the doubtful, he or she may end up doing that which is forbidden.”
