Wa `alaykum as-salamu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
Matters of Ghayb or unseen realties cannot be based on dubious or doubtful or weak traditions. The Qur’an clearly states: No soul can know of the kind of bliss kept in store for them in the hereafter. And the Prophet said, “In the heaven there awaits the believers such bliss the like of which no eyes have seen or ears have heard or no mind could ever conceive or imagine.”
Islam does not require us to believe in the seventy two virgins; if it had been one of the essentials of Islamic belief, it would have been stated in the Qur’an or the well attested traditions. There is nothing in these sources to that effect.
We have sufficiency in the Quran and the widely reported and well attested traditions to prove matters of faith.
By going after dubious or weak reports we end up destroying our faith and religion.
So, we are advised to ignore them altogether.
Lastly, let me remind you never to get carried away by the propaganda of those who are simply trying to undermine the faith of the gullible.
Allah Almighty knows best.
