If the person believes in Allah but is punishable for sins he committed, he will either be pardoned (there are many reasons for such pardoning and many will enjoy it) or will receive his punishment according to his sins and then will be admitted to the paradise.
Allah SW says what means, “Indeed, God does not wrong people in anything. But rather, [it is] people [who] wrong themselves.” [10:44]
Allah Almighty knows best.
