Dear scholar, I have a very important question for you. Is it permissible for Muslim women who want to apply the ruling of hijab to wear colored hijab? Or does the hijab have to be black or white?

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
1- There is nothing in the sources to suggest that women can only wear black hijab or clothing.
2- There are narrations that show that early Muslim women wore clothes other than black, such as red or green.
3- Therefore, there is nothing with Muslim women wearing colored hijab as long as it is acceptable in the society.
