My mum told me to wear Ayat al-Kursi as a necklace for protection from Satan. Is this permissible?

In this fatwa:
Ayat al-Kursi is one of the most powerful verses in the Quran, offering protection when recited with sincerity and understanding. Writing Ayat al-Kursi or any verse of the Quran and wearing it as a necklace believing that it will protect us is an incorrect belief. Muslims are encouraged to focus on reciting and reflecting on Ayat al-Kursi for true spiritual benefits.
