Q Dear scholar, I read in some sources that the Prophet (peace be upon him) married lady Aishah at a very young age. So, my question is: why did the Prophet marry Aishah at such a young age?

In this fatwa:

The Prophet’s marriage to Aishah at this age was completely normal in the society. No one discussed this issue and no one attacked the Prophet’ character until the past 100 years of human history not even the people in his time. This is because it was a norm in human history that people marry and find themselves of age as adults and consent to marry at that time.
