Q
Sometimes I make mistakes in the recitation of the Quran or forget some verses while offering the prayer alone. What should I do?

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
- To avoid mistakes and confusion, it is always better and safe to recite the verses you are sure about and you have memorized well.
- If your mistake is with the recitation of al-Fatihah, make sure you repeat the rakah since there is no prayer without reading the Fatihah. Recitations other than the Fatihah are sunnah and even if you make mistakes, your prayer is valid.
