If somebody is praying by himself at home and nobody is to disturb his prayer, does he have to put a sutrah or a barrier?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
It is recommended for the imam and the one who is praying alone to pray facing a sutrah. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “When one of you prays, let him pray facing a sutrah and let him draw close to it.”
