I am a female convert. I got some pain in the spine and nervous system. Can I visit a male chiropractor for medical treatment?

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
- If a Muslim woman is seeking a medical treatment that is outside of an emergency, then she should search for a female chiropractor.
- In an emergency or for a special treatment if only a person from the opposite gender is qualified to perform, then a Muslim woman can go to a male chiropractor.
