In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
- The required men’s haircut for Umrah and Hajj include two areas; the size area and the hair length.
- It is praiseworthy to shave head during Hajj and Umrah. Prophet Muhammad’s praise was 3 times more for the men who shaved their hair completely when compared to those who trimmed.
- The only exception is during Umrah that comes before Hajj. In that case a person needs to trim their head so they can shave it after Hajj.
