Is it permissible to work for an insurance company?

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
Many insurance contracts today fall under category of uncertainty, deception and risk. If a person has a job that incorporates a large amount of riba and deception and these types of financial instruments, then they should try to look for something that is better and in the meantime they should try to purify their wealth give as much in charity as they can.
