No Fun Noises in Paradise?

30 June, 2021
Q Assalam alikum, I was just wondering about how Islam says paradise will be a peaceful place. So does that mean there won't be noise, fun noise like if someone want to do carpentry or drive a car or play paintball, etc?

Answer

Walaykum Asalam,

Thank you for your question.

Peace doesn’t necessarily mean stillness or dead quiet, so to speak. Peace is much deeper and more comprehensive; it includes being free of worry or sadness or concerns, and being in a complete state of contentment.

So, don’t worry, you can have all the fun you want in Paradise.

As mentioned in the hadith, Narrated Abu Huraira, the Prophet said:

Allah said, ‘I have prepared for My pious worshipers such things as no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard of, and nobody has ever thought of. All that is reserved, besides which, all that you have seen, is nothing.’ Then he recited: — {No soul knows what is kept hidden (in reserve) for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.} (Quran 32:17) (Sahih Al Bukhari)

There are no restrictions in Jannah (paradise) in receiving whatever you desire, as Allah Almighty says:

{Gardens of perpetual residence, which they will enter, beneath which rivers flow. They will have therein whatever they wish. Thus does Allah reward the righteous } (Quran 16:31)

{For them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested.} (Quran 25:16)

{They will have whatever they desire with their Lord. That is the reward of the doers of good} (Quran 39:34)

{They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.} (Quran 50:35)

May Allah Almighty grant us the highest level of Jannah, the nearest to Him without account. Ameen.

I hope this answers your question. Please keep in touch.

Salam.
