The Quran is only in Arabic. Translations of the Quran are not the Quran but only interpretations of the meaning of the Quran in other languages. This means that the rulings related to the Quranic text (in terms of respectful treatment, the necessity of being ritually clean while touching it, etc.) are only applied to the Arabic version.
