LONDON — As the keeps all eyes focused on Americans queuing to pick a new president for the next four years, a Middle East airline launched an advertising campaign that took a swipe at Donald Trump’s original plan to ban Muslims from the US.
The company, Royal Jordanian Airlines, posted a promotion on social media urging customers: “Just in case he wins… travel to the U.S. while you’re still allowed to!” NBC News reported.
The airline, which flies from Muslim-majority Jordan to New York, Chicago and Detroit, launched the campaign as millions went to the polls across American to choose between Trump and Hillary Clinton.
During the past months, Donald Trump has encouraged a wave of anti-Muslim sentiment in the United States, from a complete ban of Muslims to “extreme vetting”.
He has also claimed American Muslims are helping to shelter terrorists and said he wants to deport millions of undocumented immigrants.
