Furthermore, in partnership with Our Future Health, the festival will offer a mobile health clinic on-site. This initiative allows attendees to participate in health research and receive health checkups, promoting wellness in the community.

Event director Waleed Jahangir expressed his excitement about the festival, emphasizing the importance of fostering discussions and connections among attendees.

“We encourage discussions and conversations at the festival through interactive panels, giving people from all walks of life a space to connect over shared values of food, culture, and community,” Jahangir said.

Promoting Understanding

The festival organizers hope the event’s welcoming atmosphere will promote cultural exchange and understanding.

The growing global Muslim population has driven an increased demand for halal-certified products, and the festival reflects this trend.

Jahangir noted, “The growing interest in ethical, sustainable, and high-quality food sources has attracted not just Muslim consumers but people from all backgrounds to halal food.”

This inclusivity is vital in making the festival a melting pot of culinary traditions and cultural appreciation.

A new addition to this year’s event is the Celebrity Chef Cookery Theatre, hosted by Shelina Permalloo, known for her appearances on ITV’s “Cooking with the Stars.”

Shelina will lead interactive cooking demonstrations alongside other top chefs, making this a must-see attraction. Celebrity guests, including Nadiya Hussain and Big Zuu, are also expected to attend, further enhancing the festival’s appeal.

With its diverse offerings and engaging activities, the World Halal Food Festival is poised to be a significant event for food lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike, showcasing the richness of halal cuisine and fostering community connections.
