When you have committed adultery or you have consumed alcohol or you have gambled or missed a prayer, you seek forgiveness from Allah and He will forgive you always. 

The minute you have involved the rights of another human being when you have sinned, you are playing with dangerous territory because that human needs to forgive you first. 

A person may not always forgive you if you have done bad to them. Not everyone is forgiving.
