When we talk about jannah one of the issues that we have is that we really don’t work for it. Wanting jannah is the first thing all of us should be doing. Sometimes wanting it is enough to take you to the next level.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once told the Companions about a group on the Day of Judgement who will enter jannah without any form of adab or hisab, no accountability and no punishment whatsoever. One of the Companions jumped up and asked our Prophet (PBUH) to make dua that he is one of them. So Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said “you are one of them.”
The three steps of attaining jannah is very simple. Want, ask, act. There is a very beautiful hadith that is narrated in Sunan At-Tirmidhi that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “whoever asks Allah for Jannah 3 times, not only does Allah answer the dua, jannah itself makes dua to Allah, oh Allah, enter him into paradise.” Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also said that whoever asks for protection from the fire, then hell fire will make dua to protect your from the fire.
Make that dua three times. So beautiful!
