When Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) traveled with Abu Bakr (RA) from Makkah to Madinah, they had to hide out in a cave called Ghar Thawr to avoid being killed. The story goes that a spider built a web over the cave entrance and there was also a dove’s nest above the entrance. Is this story authentic?

There are many people who debate whether this story is true or not. What we know for sure is that Allah protected Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Abu Bakr (RA) on this journey.

The lesson here is, is that no matter what we fear, we must rely on Allah and only Allah, that we will be protected by Him in this world.
