Why should we pray? We pray for three major things, reflection, redemption and renewal. 

Reflection because we think of what has happened and reflect over things that may happen. Redemption is an action that emerges from that reflection. We felt bad about something so we seek forgiveness for that. Renewal is the conclusion of that seeking forgiveness. 

The reason for praying is for the reflection of remembering Allah. We reflect on Allah’s greatness. The best time to do that is when we tune out to pray. We also obtain peace through prayer.
